Grab a MOORING at the MOORING
MEETING!
Prior to the SBYC Board Meeting on March 14th, Vice
Commodore John Hayslip and Docks & Moorings Director
Tom Szluccha will be holding SBYC's annual MOORING ALLOCATION MEETING.
The mooring allocation portion of the meeting will begin at 6:00 P.M. on
Monday, March 14th, at Fusion Productions, 46 North Avenue, Webster.
This is the same location that the meeting was held last year. The allocation
will be done by seniority as specified by the Club's by-laws. If
you cannot make the meeting but have a preference for a mooring please
let Tom and or John
know and they will try to accommodate your request!
Kass
Vande playing air guitar!
His Eminence, Commodore Robert White I, benignly condescended to share
some more pictures of the SBYC winter carnival. I added these to the pictures
I took and posted them to our site using some NEW PHOTO GALLERY SOFTWARE
I am EXPERIMENTING with. This software makes it easier to post pictures
directly to our site, though I'm not sure yet whether this is advantageous
or not. So, with the proviso that this particular method of posting and
displaying pictures is strictly experimental and may or may not
be something we'll use again or get any utility out of, check out the pictures
at the newly provided link (above). Bob's (newly added) pictures seem to
be right at the beginning, but hey, I don't really know how this software
works, so you'll just have to look! Even if you've already seen the pictures
I posted previously, it's worth the time and effort, just to see the picture
of KASS VANDE PLAYING AIR GUITAR, while her lovely daughter
tries to cover Kass' granddaughter's eyes so she doesn't see her Grandma
boogie!
Does anybody wanna part
with a CENTENNIAL BOOK?
Upstairs in the SBYC Library, I spied a beautiful hard-bound coffee-table-sized
tome celebrating and detailing the history of the Sodus Bay Yacht Club
1893 to 1993. As far as I know, this is the sole volume of this valuable
book that the club possesses! It was compiled and produced during the reign
of the Right Excellent Arnie Pizer, Commodore-at-the-time, and was beautifully
done, artfully illustrated, and a reference book I'd love to have personally,
as well as maybe UNbind to use to "scan" for the web. If anyone knows where
an honest fellow could take ownership of one of these books, please Email:
