SMALL BOAT PROGRAM NOTES

The Ideal 18's have been launched, and have again enjoyed great interest and use by our members. If YOU have yet to get by the Sailing Center yet this season, stop by and check out the list of members posted in the Sailing Center with the new updated rules for 2005.

Please let us know (Nathalie and David) if we need to update/correct our records if either of these columns are incorrect for you (or if your name should be on the list)!

Although an entire family can be Registered through one subscription of $100, each individual family member must be Certified if they are to Skipper an Ideal 18 without other certified member(s) aboard, and each member aboard must be registered (please see rules for further clarifications). There are a few members who were Certified, but not yet registered - in this case, please complete the form in the sailing center and send in your subscription to Nina before using the boats.
Likewise, for those that are Registered but not yet Certified, please make an appointment with one of the Certification officers listed in the Sailing Center.  They will be more than happy to teach you the in's and out's of our rules, procedures, and these easy and fun boats!

We need volunteers to help keep this active summer's small boat schedule of events moving forward with continued success.  Just getting the boats launched was a much appreciated team effort - lets keep that going!  We also welcome early feedback to ensure the direction of the program can suit as many diverse needs as possible.  Now that we are finally underway with the season, there are no excuses to not take an active role in our shared passions! We are looking forward to seeing many at our committee meetings who are willing to volunteer in a variety of small boat tasks.

Again, always feel free to swing by the Sailing Center when on your way from the parking lot to the club - you can check out the latest news postings - everything from the current calendar of events, rules, race results, Ideal 18 cleaning supplies (if so inclined!), list of Registered and Certified members, Certification Officers, Reservation Binder,  etc. (and maybe even some pictures?!?!)
